Hayley Nichole Williams was born December 27, 1988 in Meridian, Mississippi. Her parents are divorced because she was conceived while her mother was still very young. When Hayley was around thirteen, her family moved to Franklin, Tennessee. Once settled, she enrolled in a private high school, where she was known because of singing in some of the school's events and at church. When she was still thirteen, Hayley joined a band called "The Factory" after her mother saw a flyer and suggested she tried out. It wasn't long, though, before the band split although Hayley was still friends with the band's bass player, Jeremy Davis. After that, Hayley met Josh and Zac Farro during detention at school and from that moment, they became good friends, starting by the fact that music was the main element that allowed that friendship to grow stronger as time passed by. In fact, Zac used to give her homemade mixtapes with Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate tracks, for example. Since the Farro brothers had had intentions of starting a band long before they even met Hayley, they didn't let the opportunity of having her as their lead singer pass them by.
